Ocote Soul Sounds - The Alchemist Manifesto

Usually when I'm sent an album I'll listen to the first couple songs all the way through, then I start skipping through it out of boredom, and then usually never listen to it again. So it's kind of a surprise that the OCOTE SOUL SOUNDS new album The Alchemist Manifesto has pretty much been playing non-stop at my house for a week now. Perfect in length, only forty-five minutes long, and equally as good in quality, it's no wonder why.

Made up of Martin Perna and Adrian Quesada , who between them have TV ON THE RADIO, ANTIBALAS, and GRUPO FANTASMA on their resume, it's easy to see where the sound comes from, and also why it's just soooo damn good.

The album just came out on June 10th, so go check it out. Also hit up their MYSPACE, download these two tracks, and be sure to check them out when they open for THIEVERY CORPORATION at Stubbs on June 24th or later that evening when they play at Beauty Bar.
