Until a few days ago, I had never heard of Russ Chimes, but like all great things, over night I'm a fan. I asked around to my more music savy friends to see if they had heard of him, and none of them had either. So I feel kind of like THAT guy who gets to introduce all of them to something new and awesome.
There's not much else to say, you'll just have to take a listen. If I were to categorize the sound, I would say, it sounds like Chromeo and Ghosthustler had a child, but let Fred Falke raise it. The production on all these tracks is amazing, hence the Falke reference, but it's got all that funk and vocals that Chromeo and G'Hustler are doing ever so well.
